Kellen and I are in Denver right now on a recruiting trip. Downtown Denver is really nice. The weather has been beautiful, good volleyball to watch, coaching friends around, and more! It has just been very enjoyable. Although it is a working weekend, life in normal routine has been so insane recently and laden with responsibility, that we both feel like we are on vacation kind of and our minds when not in the gym are RELAXED!!
Anyhow, just wanted to share my CONTENTMENT AND A BIG SMILEY FACE/THOUGHT WITH ANY OF YOU READING MY BLOG!
Also, God is GREAT! The last several days several of my family members and friends have had God lavish His love on them through His perfect provision, timing, and answered prayers!! I have been blessed by witnessing them all and getting to testify His love.
Another also, MY HUSBAND ROCKS! I am missing him tonight, wishing he had the ability to come on some of these trips with me. Every single little thing in life is better when he is around and because of him. I admire and fall more in love with him and his character daily. I love how the marriage relationship sweetly resembles that of ours with Christ. Ever deepening, changing, growing, understanding-- a richness with a bottomless depth!!
Well my thoughts tonight are endless but I will spare you anymore. Off to bed I suppose!
One last thing....
MY FAMILY IS THE BOMB AND I MISS THEM MORE THAN I COULD EVER DESCRIBE TO ANY HUMAN SOUL! SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO MY MOM. I love you and I appreciate you more than I tell you. I daily thank God for allowing me to have and blessing me with exactly you!

Exhausted!
Hello all! So I haven't posted in awhile because life is hectic! My brain is constantly fried. I can no longer keep up the same way I used to and it can be bothersome. I have lost but found again my phone at work 5 times over the last several weeks, lol! I am a certified CRAZY WOMAN!
Anyhow, next week is Spring Break. I am taking it off from work; although, I still have school work. I am also getting my wisdom teeth out next Wednesday:( The bright side of that is that my sweet momma is coming to take care of me:) YIPPEE!!! We don't get to spend enough time together, so even though I will probably be down and out for the count a couple of days, not the whole time! I am very looking forward to it seeing mom and having some down time, even if I am experiencing a little wisdom tooth discomfort:)!!
I pray God's richest blessings on all of you!

Weekend Ski Trip!!!
So, let me just say how much I love the mountains! God created such a magnificent universe.
This past Thursday night Jason and I headed to Angel Fire, NM with a couple from our life group, Matt and Aubre. Aubre's family owns a cabin up there, so we decided to go for the weekend and ski! There was originally seven of us, but unfortunately three had to cancel last minute. No worries though, THE FOUR OF US HAD A BLAST!!!
We have gotten to know them fairly well over the last year, but have never had a chance to spend much one on one couple time with them. We bonded:) 20 hours total in the car, all day long for two days on the slopes and ski lifts, and evening time at the cabin inherently causes bonding. It was great. We had such a great time in fellowship with them and enjoying the slopes.
I have always skied in my life, Jason normally boards, Matt only boards, and Aubre does both. Jason and I for the amount of times we get to go are decent, but Matt and Aubre are PROS!! I am talking I watched Aubre jump and get about 5 feet in the air before she vanished over the cliff of a black heading straight for the woods to make up her own trail!! (and no I am not exaggerating) THEY ARE VERY SKILLED AND IT WAS FUN TO WATCH. Jason and I had a great time together as well when they would go do their thing and we would do ours:)! I love watching my baby on a snowboard! SEXY!
I began to learn how to board this weekend. I only boarded Saturday morning, but it was FUN! Being that Aubre had her own snowboard it was a blessing for me, because I was able to try at no cost! I say FUN and I mean it, but that FUN did not come without paying the price of PAIN!! For those of you who have ever boarded you know that catching an edge and slammin' your tailbone onto the snow does not feel delightful. In my case the snow was more like crunchy/icy "snow", it hurt to say the least. Thank goodness it only happened three times where I ate it. Jason says I picked it up fairly quick, but I know that I by no means have it down yet. The help of three experienced boarders was definitely appreciated. I chose to go back to skiing that afternoon in order to be able to keep up a little better with the group our last afternoon on the slopes.
Anyhow, the vacation was SUPER FUN, SUPER RELAXING, AND SUPER NEEDED! Jason and I cherish every opportunity we get to leave town with one another, as well as fellowship and grow deeper in relationship with other believers!!
PRAISE GOD FOR A GREAT WEEKEND!!
I think that is all for now. More to come later, but below are pics of the four of us, as well as my snowboarding debut!!

Nothing Much....
Hey everyone!
I don't have any pictures to post with anything going on in life right now, so I apologize.
I was able to sleep in this morning and have a day to just stay at home and relax. Let me rephrase, I have quite a bit of school work to do, but I don't have any work or practicum obligations today. Yippee!!!
Besides that, I really don't have much to report. Life is continuing on as usual. Jason works and I work and do school work. We will be at church on Sunday for the first time in 3 weeks together and are excited about that and spending time with our life group.
Happy Valentine's Day everybody! It is a sweet and romantic day for us to reflect on how we cherish the ones we love, but I also love reflecting on this day how much God loves us. He romances us and is the lover of our souls! Praise God!
As for Jason and I's Valentine's celebration, it went as follows. We have had a pizza obsession this past year. We love it!! We have two places in town that we love to go eat pizza and we also love making our own at home. All that to say, we went to Joe's last night and ate pizza. Next, we were headed to Coldstone Creamery to treat ourselves to ice cream, but when we drove up it was closed. The story is that they are having an ownership turnover and closed for the weekend. To most people this would not seem like such a predicament, just pick another ice cream place right? WRONG! Abilene, TX does not have one other ice cream establishment, unless you want a blizzard from DQ. We don't have TCBY, Baskin Robbins, Braums, Marble Slab, and so on. So we called some friends to make sure we did not know of another ice cream place, because both of our favorite sweet treat is ice cream; however, no luck there!! Tear.
Anyhow, Jason had planned for us to go the the drive-in and watch a movie there, but somehow through the course of dinner and our fruitless ice cream search we changed our minds and decided to go to the actual theatre in order to see New in Town. It was a cute movie with kind of odd humor, but depending on who you are, you might find it funny. We were entertained, but I am not strongly recommending that you run out and see it at the theatre either!
I guess that is it for now!
Enjoy your weekend!
Also, this is me shouting from the rooftops......
"I MISS MY NEPHEW SOOOOOOO TOOOO MUCH. HE IS GROWING AND I AM NOT THERE! UGGHH!"

Economy...
I only have a few minutes to write this post, but it has been all my mind all morning.
In times like right now with the economy crisis and so many people losing jobs, I can't help but be thankful! I am thankful that God reminds us how GOOD HE IS over and over. I can't imagine not being a person of faith knowing that God is the perfect provider. He provides our daily needs, He provides us hope, and He provides abundance for those who love and seek after Him.
I pray that in these times God will be able to strengthen believers faith, while reaching thousands or millions more for His Kingdom. I pray that although it will be trying, people who do know Him have to dig down deep to learn to TRUST and that those who don't will finally hit their knees and look to Him for guidance. I pray that those of us who have been graced to hold to the truths we know about God can show love and compassion to those who are lost in this volatile time and that God will grant us the grace for our faith to be unwavering, in order to witness to those we encounter.

Icy Abilene!
The weather in Abilene today was very cold. We have ice that is supposed to worsen overnight and since Abilene does not handle icy roads well, all schools were cancelled and have a delayed start for tomorrow. Which was great news for me, but even better because today is TUESDAY, Jason's day off. We got to spend the entire day together. We braved the roads to make sure we got a workout in and then came home and chilled. We cooked, took a nap, read, had good conversation, and I did some homework (Jason helped:)).
The unfortunate aspect of the possibly dangerous road conditions is that right now I am craving a warm dessert! Lol, I am dreaming off hot chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip bunt cake, brownies, or anything chocolate and warm with a huge glass of milk. Don't worry though the conditions are saving me from myself:)!
If we are "iced in" again all day tomorrow, Jason will have to most likely go to work:( but it will give me a chance to get ahead on some of my practicum work.
Random Thoughts:
Movies I want to see:
Gran Torino, Defiance, He's not that into you, and The Proposal. There are more I am sure, but those are the ones that immediately come to mind.
Things I am excited about:
Spring weather, camping on Easter, being done with grad school, having time to pick back up with my Gilmore Girls season watching, seeing Josiah (whenever that will be), Jason and I starting our family one day, temperatures above 40 so I can grill meat for dinner again and run outside, and Superbowl for everyone else (I will be recruiting)!
That is it I suppose, I am going to go stick my nose in a book, The Shack. I will post my review about it when I am finished. Don't hold your breath though, with all the reading I have for grad school it takes me a little longer than usual.

Quick Friday Morning Post...
I have just a few minutes to post some quick thoughts.
First one that comes to mind is to beseech prayers for myself and my hubby this semester. I am taking 6 hours of graduate work and I also have my practicum, which is 125 clock hours of teaching/preparing curriculum in Abilene this semester, on top of my job. So far the last two weeks God has given me the grace and strength to keep my mind about me. I normally don't have a problem getting all my work done, but in order to do so I don't take time for me to work out and do things I enjoy, which basically make me more sane and joyful!!:) So, just pray for me in all of that and Jason as well since he has to live with my crazy schedule and possibly crazy wife!!
Second, due to Jason and I's jobs we almost never have mornings to where we can just sleep in together and hang out all day without any obligations! I mean we always have Sundays which are great and we LOVE going to church, but we still get up go to church and have just a few afternoon hours before our lifegroup meets. However, tomorrow Jason has Saturday off because they have a Sunday sale this weekend! I AM SO PUMPED!! It will be great!
I can't forget a shout out to Kayla, Lance, Bethany, and Cody for our stellar-fun weekend we had last weekend! We hung around, went to dinner, played poker at the homestead, went to church, a movie, and more! It was a great few days of needed family fellowship, but we missed Jay and Jamie! So, El Dorado May 2010? What? :) We will see. Love all six of you mucho!
Finally, I miss all my family, but especially Josiah. He rolled over yesterday! He is growing up so fast!
I hope everyone has a great weekend, full of God's abundant blessing!
